- How will/can Smart Grid modify and/or influence consumer behavior?
- Please elaborate how Smart Grid may promote or enable:
- Demand Response -
- Renewable Energy-
- Energy Efficiency-
- When should Smart Grid technologies be implemented, conscious that the customer ultimately pays for the Smart Grid application, AND given that many Smart Grid components are under enhancement/development and are not yet mature?
- Why do I care (as a policy maker)? What is important for me to know?
- Please elaborate on Smart Grid privacy and security concerns.
- Why are standards important? What is the process and timeline to ensure appropriate standards are being met?
- Do you foresee any Smart Grid impact from the FERC scrutiny of current and new technology projects such as the Tres Amigas initiative?
- Are NERC bulk electric system standards and requirements applicable for Smart Grid?
- The Energy Management System (EMS) is key for the reliable operation of the bulk electric system. The Distribution Management System (DMS) is believed key to manage the evolving Smart Grid on the distribution system. When do you foresee a mature DMS to EMS integration on a large scale?
- What do I need to do as policy maker to help ensure the best Smart Grid for our state?
